21 Nov Jadon Sancho teams up with Nike to launch new south London pitch
Jadon Sancho has teamed up to help establish a football pitch in south London in the hope of inspiring others.
Sancho, who was born in Camberwell and increased at Kennington, played a role to help boost centers in south London, with the aim of giving kids a opportunity to excel.
Growing up in Kennington has made me the man I am today; I owe a lot to South London for bettering how I perform, Sancho said. I expect the regional children feel empowered to share their stories through soccer and follow my footsteps – that pitch being only the ignition point.
As the house of the Lambeth Tigers, a soccer club for young people aged six to 18, the pitch will offer the regional footballers of all SE11 access to the best facilities possible.
David Marriott and Jamahl Jarrett both grew up on a nearby property along with the two coaches assisted with the founding of the team and explained the pitch asrefuge for youngsters.
There is a real need for secure places for all these children to play , said Jarrett. A pitch similar to this is like a refuge for children, inviting them to get into soccer in a secure atmosphere. The trendy, bright design is also just like a magnet – it is a place where people may wish to get outside and play.
The Tigers will use the pitch all year to assist enable soccer programming and provide opportunities through training, workshops and training.
