World Vision recently commissioned the Barna Research Institute to conduct a study to gauge US willingness to support children orphaned by AIDS. Only 5% of Americans said they’d definitely donate money. When they narrowed it down to American Evangelicals, it decreased!, to a paltry 3%.

Your mission pilgrim, should you decide to accept it, is to convince the American Church to reach out to all those widows and children abandoned and devastated by the AIDS pandemic.

After all, “What God the Father considers to be pure and genuine religion is this: to visit widows and orphans in their affliction” James 1:27, is one of the clearest verses in the Bible. Let’s go America!
